It would have been so easy to give up several times when the other team took the lead, and we were down a man (or two!) due to penalties. But our players showed what it means to be a true team, and played with guts and intensity and focus. They never gave up, and never stopped believing, and it just goes to show that amazing things can happen when you are part of a team like that. They had an amazing year, and I am so proud of each and every one of them. And a huge hats off to our coaches who molded this group into the kind of team everyone dreams of being a part of....CHAMPIONS! great Job Summits! Hats off to all the people who organized and volunteered this year. Yes, we took second, but this year's tournament featured a higher level of competition than last year's and I hope we will continue to draw more and stronger teams next year as well. In Santa Rosa, we have found a worthy rival, and they are to be congratulated for playing a great game against us. We will be gunning to get back on track against them in their tournament in a few weeks.
