I just wanted to say that I was so proud of the team and the way they played in Santa Rosa, especially in the final. It would have been so easy to give up several times when the other team took the lead, and we were down a man (or two!) due to penalties. But our players showed what it means to be a true team, and played with guts and intensity and focus. They never gave up, and never stopped believing, and it just goes to show that amazing things can happen when you are part of a team like that. They had an amazing year, and I am so proud of each and every one of them. And a huge hats off to our coaches who molded this group into the kind of team everyone dreams of being a part of....CHAMPIONS! great Job Summits!

Andrew,

Got the note from you last fall and thought about your trip, then got caught up in the holidays. Congratulations on getting there! Apparently your team had their socks beaten off, but that's how we learn, isn't it? I'm sure the "we're going to learn from this defeat" attitude will be needed as we build our house, especially in the next year of tough economic times.

Sincerely,
Ted T.

While our Summits were not successful in defending their MLK crown this year, I still say this was a great tournament. Hats off to all the people who organized and volunteered this year.

Yes, we took second, but this year's tournament featured a higher level of competition than last year's and I hope we will continue to draw more and stronger teams next year as well.

In Santa Rosa, we have found a worthy rival, and they are to be congratulated for playing a great game against us. We will be gunning to get back on track against them in their tournament in a few weeks.

Even though we didin't win it all, we had a good weekend, and I am proud of each and every one of our kids. they played hard, and showed us the kind of team play we know they are capable of.

Finally, please join me in thanking our coaches, who did a great job to get the kids ready to play with very little time to practice and prepare after returning from Canada. We will have a better opportunity to get the kids ready for the Wine Country Face-off in Santa Rosa in a few weeks. So, hats off to Andrew, Brian, and Kevin, and heres three cheers for all our Summits!
